Ania - Grass Is Greener

Ania is a Los Angeles-based female DIY guitarist and songwriter who creates music that incorporates melodic angry female vocals, modern synth textures, and killer guitar solos. Her music exemplifies the 21st-century rock trend, with influences like Trent Raznor of Nine Inch Nails, St Vincent, Blondie, Tool, Rage Against the Machines, L7, and Alice in Chains.

Ania was born in the Polish town of Koszalin and she is very versatile: Rock, Metal, Alternative, Punk, and Rock Inspired. She isn't your typical rocker, though, as she also enjoys blues, jazz fusion, latin, and pop music. Richard Smith, Tim Kobza, Stig Mathisen, Allen Hinds, Scott Henderson, Daniel Gilbert, and Steve Trevato were among her teachers.

This is her new single, called Grass Is Greener. What I like about the song is the contagious mood, thanks to tasty bass lines that will make you tap your foot. Also, the vocals are well performed and catchy (check out the chorus!) and the overall sound is amazing. The song is very enjoyable from start to finish, give it a go by clicking on the YouTube player below (very cool video as well!) and don't forget to follow Ania on social media.

Passionate about music I wrote my first article for "Given To Rock" in 2012, reaching now 30K global followers. I am also a musician, gigging around London.
