Song of the day: EVOL WALKS - Pet Sematary

Leah Martin-Brown, an Australian with flame-colored hair who serves as the band's lead singer and lyricist, founded Evol Walks in Los Angeles. The group immediately gained recognition as a force aiming for global dominance. Evol Walks were signed by Jens Lundberg to the Swedish management firm Blue Lemon Management after touring around Europe, the West Coast of the USA, and Australia and releasing two EPs that got raving reviews from international rock giants.

Following in the footsteps of rock diva pioneers like Joan Jett, Lzzy Hale, and Amy Lee, Evol Walks has the drive, skill, and fire (and hair) to pave the way for the next generation of female powerhouses.

Evol Walks released an acoustic rendition of the legendary Ramones hit 'Pet Sematary,' which will serve as the second single from Evol Walks' forthcoming Acoustic EP, which will be released next June. The choice to cover 'Pet Sematary' was made with caution. "I've always loved the Ramones and their energy," Leah says, "but I wanted to explore a different side of their music."

I love covers made with personality and this is definitely the case as the song was performed and produced from a different perspective, with great vocals by Leah Martin-Brown and a tasty and melodic arrangement too. A very cool cover, you will enjoy that. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Evol Walks on social media as well.
