Frank Ray and Tracy Lawrence - Good For The Soul

Frank Ray, the smooth‑voiced BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville artist, blends country soul with the Tex‑Mex roots he picked up growing up in Laredo, Texas and Columbus, New Mexico. A former police officer who spent years writing tickets by day and playing honky‑tonks by night, he broke through after opening for Keith Urban. His fusion of honky‑tonk pop and Latin flair earned two Texas radio #1s and a Billboard Country Airplay Top 20 with “Country’d Look Good on You,” plus tours with Luke Combs, Kane Brown, and Luke Bryan. After a vibrant 2023 album, his new EP Good For The Soul leans into sunny ’90s/’00s country tones, big ballads, and feel‑good vocals.

I love the happy mood, the classy arrangement and the overall feel good vibes of the title track Good For The Soul, which features a super catchy chorus, a fantastic production and a great solo section as well. A very cool song, amazingly written and performed. Give it a go by clicking on the YouTube player below and follow Frank Ray if you like what you hear.
