Dear Darcy - MayDay

Written in 1996 by songwriter and bassist Kim Cordle, Dear Darcy is the ultimate unearthed artifact of the ’90s alternative boom. Rather than a modern retro imitation, these tracks are authentic 1996 songs that sat dormant for three decades before finally escaping the vault—re-recorded now with modern precision and veteran firepower. To bring the project to life, Cordle teamed up with legendary drummer Todd Long (The Verve Pipe) and acclaimed guitarist Robert Hoppa (Guitar Player Magazine), crafting a massive wall-of-sound production anchored by shimmering, gritty guitars and thunderous rhythms.

The project’s debut single, “Tonight, MayDay,” captures that pure, unadulterated ’90s alt-rock DNA. Fronted by Cordle’s intense, highly melodic vocals, the track delivers aggressive, hook-driven songwriting built straight for rock radio. Driven by infectious vocal lines and pure grunge energy, "Tonight, MayDay" is an amazingly written and executed anthem that any fan of ’90s rock will love.
